We are specialising in training and consulting for the maritime industry leveraging on our extensive experience and network of associated training organisations. RST has been involved within the marine industry for over 25 years and has experience within a wide verity of aspects of the maritime industry including; shipping, ship building/conversion, ship and port management and training. 

After interviewing numerous maritime companies in relation to their training requirements we have formed a group of associate organisations, each being an expert within their own sphere of training with the intension of creating an integrated training solution for the international maritime industry.

RST has established a Learning Management System whereby companies can access a variety of training that can be delivered in the most convenient form for them; this includes; onboard training, online training (e-learning), blended training (combination of e-learning and face-to-face) and face-to-face training. Our face-to-face training can be delivered in-house or in public training facilities or onboard vessels.

We have gone into the marketplace to obtain feedback from industry to ensure that we fully understand the requirements of our customers based on what their needs are in relation to course content, methods of deliver and preferred training locations. We have identified companies who are specialists within their specific field of competency and geographic location and bought these together under the one umbrella to make it more convenient for companies to access their training requirements. 

Our objective is to provide a total training solution for customers across a broad range of maritime training needs.  Our company has formed a group of associate organisations under one umbrella so that maritime companies only have to deal with one entity for the major part of their training requirements, as there is currently no one organisation providing a total solution to the market. The reason for this is that marine companies have differing requirements and a large range of training needs.

Given maritime companies have a broad geographic base; we have formed a group of training organisations with an international presence so as to enable our customer’s flexibility in being able to train closer to where their current operational requirements are located. By offering an international solution we are offering the best possible access to companies to ensure that their training needs are met in the most cost effective and efficient means possible.

We have recognised that training over the past decade has become a critical success factor in operating a maritime business and that the statutory and regulatory requirements are continuously becoming more stringent. We have also recognised that there is gap in the training industry where companies are not able to get a more flexible and global solution to their ongoing training requirements. In some cases marine companies have moved to in-house training as their demands are not being met by traditional training providers.

In such cases where maritime companies have already established their own training organisations, it is not our intention to become competitors to these organisations, it is our intention to supplement and add value by offering courses that they do not provide.

Service Offering:

RST offers a mixture of; onboard, online (e-learning), blended and face-to-face training which is delivered by qualified and experienced trainers who have had practical and hands experience in relation to the subjects in which they will train.

RST will offer various levels of training which include; IRCA approved courses, Flag approved courses and range of other qualified courses specific to the maritime industry.

Even though RST are specialists within the maritime industry we will also provide various other non-maritime specific IRCA approved training and other specialist courses across a broad range of industries.

RST provides consulting services to assist maritime organisations to comply with International Maritime statutory requirements under ISM and ISPS by assisting companies to write and implement Safety Management System and Ship Security Plans. 

RST provides various consulting services which include but is not limited to; assisting companies to write and implement Quality Management Systems under ISO 9001:2008, Environmental Management Systems under ISO 14001:2004, Occupational Health and Safety systems under OHSAS 18001:2007.
