Pt Barron International
Pt Barron International specilises in providing a full range of client focused safety training and skilled training services such as scaffolding, crane training, rigging and slinging to the offshore oil and gas industry. The company has been in operation since 2004. The purpose built facility features a large pool of 12 meters and 18 metres with complete with METS, Davit Launch Life Boat, 3 storey built smoke house chamber, Fire fighting facility, advanced fire fighting, 3 aircon classrooms, cafeteria, shower, and changing rooms. A paramedic is always present at our facility and stocked with medical clinic for any emergency. They offer First Aid level and two as well as workplace fire safety, T-BOSEIT, Helicopter Safety HUET, TEMPSC, Marine Safety, FRC Coxswain, Basic fire fighting and advanced fire fighting as well as full range of STCW courses under Panama and Belize flag. Opeam Pty Ltd has been established to provide specialist services to the Marine/Oil Pollution and Petrochemical industries. Mr Colin Moore, Managing Director of Opeam Pty Ltd, has worked and been actively involved in the evolution of this sector since 1980. Colin Moore commenced his career in the industry with his work for the Port of Melbourne Port Emergency Service. He quickly gained experience as an Emergency Service Officer and went on to hold the position of Hazardous Materials Officer and Training Officer. In direct response to the downsizing and privatisation of the industry, Colin established the Oil Response Company of Australia in 1996. Very early on Colin identified a need to maintain suitably trained personnel to provide maintenance, training and response capabilities, should the need arise. From humble beginnings, the Company became the largest provider of oil pollution maintenance services in Australia. Services expanded to include specialist work locally, nationally and overseas. With Colin at the helm, the Oil Response Company of Australia was able to expand its list of services and clients, both Government (Federal and State) and Private Industry.
