Government Grants Singapore Grants The Local Enterprise Technical Assistance Scheme (LETAS) provides grant for enterprises to engage external consultants to implement quality management including ISO certification. LETAS subsidises up to 50% of the costs of hiring the consultant#. The funding support for IT projects does not cover hardware and software costs. Funding support for Quality Management system projects does not cover certification fees. The amount is subject to a cap of $5,000 or 50% of consultancy cost (whichever is lower). You can apply for the Local Enterprise Technical Assistance Scheme if your company meets these criteria:
· The company who applies for the grant must be ACRA registered, it can however be a company, partnership or sole proprietor as long as it is registered with ACRA. · The persons providing the consultancy service must be qualified and experienced persons not in the employment or remuneration of the applicant. · These persons must not be related to applicant or the officers of any business or company that is auditing or certifying the applicant. These persons must also not be related to or be in the employment or remuneration of a joint-venture partner, an affiliated company or the principal in a trading / agency relationship with the applicant. · The persons providing the consultancy services shall not be employed by the applicant or its related company within one year of completion of the assignment. · Must commence the consultancy project within six months of the date of award of the grant, failing which the offer of grant will automatically lapse · Application must be done one day before consulting starts, if you start before you apply the application is void. · Certification fees are not recoverable. · Project report must be completed by consultant · All invoices, expenses and bank account details are to given to SPRING to prove payments made. · The consulting business that provides the consulting has to be a registered company in Singapore however it does not have to be owned by a Singaporean. · If financial records are less than one year than year unaudited accounts are acceptable. · There prefer to give out grants where the consultant is a certified consultant such as the practicing Management consultant (PMC) by the Institute of Management Consultants – we need to look into this to see if we can registered.
