The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) provides a funding support for approved maritime-related courses and seminars held in Singapore. This funding support is part of the Maritime Cluster Fund and is available to businesses that sponsor their employees to attend these courses.

Some of the key points to note about the MCF are:

a)      30% of the fees are refundable for non-examinable courses

b)      60% of fees are refundable for certifiable courses.

You will only be eligible if you complete the course.

a)      To apply for the refund you need to be a Singaporean citizen or PR only

b)      The company applying for the grant must be Singapore registered or incorporated

c)       The training course must be approved by MPA

d)      Participants must attain at least 75% attendance at the course

e)      Participants must not be receiving any other forms of financial training assistance administered by other government bodies e.g. MAS or WDA

f)      Sponsoring business entities of the participants must submit the MCF CFS Application Form to the Course Provider before the commencement of the course
